Defensive Kicking-Defense Against Roundhouse Kick

1. Knife hand strike and elbow strike
Step in with right foot and block with double knife hand. Execute a right knife hand strike to the neck spinning around to a left elbow strike to the back.
2. Spear hand strike
Execute block with right forearm block from the front and use the left arm to catch the leg from below. Step in 45 degrees out to the right when blocking. Step in with the right foot and execute a spear hand strike to the pectinius.
3. Knee kick
Step in with the left foot and block with right knife hand. Use the right hand to grab behind the shoulder and execute a knee lift kick to the solar plexus.
4. Elbow strike and tiger mouth strike
Block with right knife hand while stepping in with the right foot and catch the Os leg from below with the left arm. Raise the right leg and step down while executing an elbow strike to the outside side of the thigh and step in with right foot to a tiger mouth strike to the neck.
5. Knife arm
Step 45 degrees to the outside and block and execute the right forearm block, left hand reaching up from below catching the opponent’s right leg. Use the right knife arm to cut into the inner thigh (just above the knee) while stepping in with the right leg (45 degrees to the inside). When performing the block, catch the opponent’s right leg with the left arm from below in order to maximize the locking effect.
6. Knee joint lock
Step 1/2 step with right foot and block the kick with right knife hand. Rotate the leg so that the left arm is between the opponent's calf and leg. Step in with the left and right foot locking the opponent's leg and forcing the opponent to the ground. The right hand should hold the left "knife hand" for leverage.
7. Hap gok ki bub
Step in with right leg and block with left knife hand. Stepping in again with the right leg 180 CCW, grab the opponent's left hap gok and execute a hap gok throw to the front.
8. Leg sweep
Block and cross step in and sweep with the right leg. The block is left forearm to grab the leg from below, the right forearm to block the kick. Then, the right palm heel strike should be used to strike the shoulder while performing the sweep. In practice, both arms may grab the kicking leg from top spinning the body CCW to avoid the kick.
9. Circular style throwing
The right knife hand blocks while stepping in with the right foot and catch the Os leg with the left arm. Hook under the opponent's left armpit with the right arm, step in with the left foot CCW 180 degrees and execute the throw while sweeping with the right leg.
10. Block with both hands and throw over the body
Step in with the right foot, lower the body and block the kick with the palms. Sit down low and turn 180 degrees CCW and throw the opponent over your body.
