Study the classics and one will find both simplicity and complexity, many layers of techniques that will come at times, like a zen moment, it will just be there. The names and "styles" that come and go, they are within and have been within the arts since the beginning, it is only immaturity that hides the truth.
Time and training reveal the beauty and essence, and what seems simple, becomes complex, and like a circle, becomes simple again. Once the eyes are opened, every movement, from a single hand strike to a complex series of techniques, becomes zen like enlightenment. This is my joy, to experience this tranquility, harmony, and power, in each and every technique.
"The essence of martial art is the perfection of skill and development of character, victory and defeat are but by products of our pursuit to forge and develop our character and skills."
